CFR: Kantian Standing Group (ECPR) Hybrid Events

The Kantian Standing Group of the European Consortium for Political Research, the Keele-Oxford-St Andrews Kantian (KOSAK) Research Centre at Keele University, and the Jagiellonian University Krakow organise the following hybrid events, for which a call for registrations is currently open:

  • Kantian Political Thought Today: War and Other Global Challenges - 28 November-1 December 2022; instructors include: Arthur Ripstein (Toronto), Jakub Szczepanski (Krakow),  Joe Saunders (Durham), Margit Ruffing (Mainz), Paula Satne (Wolverhampton), Sasha Mudd (Santiago/Southampton), Howard Williams (Cardiff) and Sorin Baiasu (Keele); themes include: war and peace (featured), media ethics and climate change;
  • 'Rousseau' Annual Lecture and Conference on 'Political Ethics: Themes and Variations in the Work of David Owen' - 1-2 December 2022; the 'Rousseau' Annual Lecture will be given by David Owen (Southampton).

The events will take place online and in situ (at the ECPR's Harbour House, in Colchester). For the Winter School, participants will also have the option to give a presentation and receive feedback as part of the Winter School. A call for commentators and chairpersons will be issued for the 'Rousseau' Annual Conference and participants to the Winter School can apply to take part to the events also in this way.
